Considering I haven't seen the movie yet the game is pretty fun. The game is, of course, based off the movie about surfing penguins.
The game has two basic modes, race or freestyle. On both modes you choose a penguin and a surfboard and move your character through a sidescrolling wave level. The racing mode you race againest other computer controled penguins while trying to avoid abstacles. I had the most fun playing the freestyle mode. You can also unlock new surfboards for your penguin by scoring high, by preforming stunts, on the freestyle mode.
The graphics are nicely done. The character sprites and animations are detailed and fun watch. The backgrounds are also easy on the eyes.
The music got a little annoying at times. The sound effects were just "okay". But that's Gameboy Advance sound for you, it's not capable of too much.
The best part about this game is how easy it is to pick up and play. I wizzed through 9 races within no time. That may also be it's weakness too. Because those looking for a challange may not find it here. Kids will love this game, especially if they've seen the movie.
I give this game a 7(out of 10) because it is an all around good game, though an easy one.
