Animorphs

This game is based on the series by K.A. Applegate. If you've never read them, I have two suggestions. First is that you find another rom. Second is that you do so. The series is one of the shining lights in my life. As I write this, the series and all of the related books are to my right. To my left on the wall is a poster from one of the books. I love the series, even if it's no longer "cool".

Now, onto the game itself. It was, and remains, a letdown. For instance, during the first mission while you play as Cassie, if you approach Rachel (your best friend), she says "This morphing power is totally cool!" - to those of us who read the books...that's an insult. Rachel never, ever, ever in a million years would talk like that. I also disliked the "Ani-Manager" system, which forced you into picking 5 animals to acquire.

For GBA, the graphics were decent, though, and it is, after all, Animorphs. But the way they implemented certain things, it sometimes feels more like a Pokemon mod than a game on its own.

I don't suggest this ROM, but I do suggest the books. K.A. Applegate is a great writer, and both her Animorphs and Everworld series were great.
