Hamtaro+Video Game= Teh Awesome?

Yes people, it's true. "Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!" is one of the most intresting games I've played in awhile. It's also rather long. "How the hell?" you ask? SIMPLE! The game is addictive, long, looks nice, sounds nice, and has very few flaws.

Story - 9/10
Okay, lemme' start by saying this: Hamtaro is not an overly complex being. He is a hamster who loves to chill with his crew (AKA The Ham-Hams). However, his Ham-Ham homies have all gone missing. Now, it's up to you to find your homies, get some seeds, and save the day. So why would I give it a 9? It's original! This isn't a "Save the World" or "Find your Destiny" or nothing beyond the scope of anyones being. It's "Go Find your Friends and have fun with it". I think that it's a nice, fresh change from the usual.

Graphics - 10/10
WOW! Hamtaro, you and your friends look so good! This game is incredible looking for the GBC. The sprites are nice and fat, just like real hamsters, and all the "normal ham-hams" have nice intresting quirks about them. The stages really feel huge, even though they aren't really that huge. And then there's the animation for Hamtaro's "words" (Gameplay People). They're all different and hillarous! (Try out "Go-P"...you know you want to b ^u^ d)

Sounds - 9/10
WOW! Hamtaro, how do you sound so good? Honestly, some of the songs are as catchy as Mario's...but some of the Ham-Ham words sound a little over-used...I still like "Go-P"

Gameplay - 10/10
WOWZA! Now we're talkin'! Hamtaro's key to perfection is all in this one thing: Fun Level. This game is just plain fun! First, there's the main game which is long and will keep you going at it for hours. Then, there's learning all the words WHICH, I might add, is not only neccessary, but incredibly hard. You can't get by with just "Hamha", "Tack-Q", and "Go-P". There's also a plethora of mini games to keep you at it. This game is just plain FUN!

Overall 10/10
I really shouldn't, but Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! deserves it. The game succeded where many others failed. It didn't go beyone proportion, it looks good, and it's fun. Plus, there's three EVEN BETTER GBA games, to keep you coming back for Ham-tastic adventures! Seriously folks, if you want a taste of freshness and a dash of...Hamtaro-y goodness, pick up Ham-Hams Unite and be WOWED! And, you can "Go-P" on everything....seriously.
