Ridge Racer DS is a esentially the same great racer from back on the N64 and Playstation. There has been a few extras added in the DS version however. Players can unlock special Nintendo character cars such as Donkey Kong and Princess Peach along with some classic Nintendo music tracks. The player has a choice to use the touch screen or the d-pad to steer the car, which is very cool. Very nice graphics with a smooth framerate (slightly nicer than the N64/Playstation versions). Multiplayer system link is a blast! Sadly no online multiplayer :(. It was released before the wi-fi network was running. There is a limited number of tracks to choose from, but they are all well designed with nice layouts. It was a DS launch title, so it's cheap to buy (even cheaper to download) Give it a try! Multiplayer is super fun.
