I tried this mario game as I had tried the N64 version and found it to be a darn good game. The NDS version did not dissapoint me. In this game, unlike the N64 version, you start off as Yoshi, and have to find Mario, Luigi and Wario in the levels who you unlock later in the game. Other than that, this game is still quite close to the original, and has pretty much the same graphics. One nifty feature was the map on the bottom screen. You the the touch screen like an analog stick and can use it to move the character around. It can take a bit of getting used to, but is much better than using the D-pad as it is much more accurate.

Graphics
Quite decent but would be nicer with higher detail textures as they looked pixallated if you got close to them. However, the models look pretty smooth with the limited power of the Nintendo DS. But I still feel some improvement is needed.

Sound
Sound effects aren't great, though the music is pretty good and it fits in well with the games levels.

Overall
I would give this game an 8. It is a darn good game and was definately worth getting. Try it. You'll like it!
