When I first saw this game was out on the DS I thought, whatever, its been done before on so many platforms, and its what can be considered an old game now.. Then I started playing it!! (again!!)

Firstly, I forgot what an excellent game RE actually is, seondly the new touches in the rebirth mode will add some extra spice to a classic.
For those who have not played RE before this is a survival horror game with a touch of 'B' movie cut scenes to it. (a little cheesy though!)
You basically solve puzzles and kill zombies and other nasties in an old mansion, and try to uncover the mystery of a virus...
The graffix are really good for a handheld console, although some of the animated enimies do look a little blocky at times.
The use of the second screen to permanently show a current map is great, and the occosional use of the touch screen for solving puzzles / killing zombies (rebirth mode) is enough to not milk this feature of the DS.
All in all, a great conversion of a classic, with some new touches added for the DS but added without spoiling the look or feel of the original.
