Game Score: 5/10
This is not the game that you fell in love with on the Gamecube. Although same characters and aesthetics are applied to this game, it lacks the hands on control of the original. This port to the DS relies on the NDS touch screen controls for much of the gameplay. The fault of this in my opinion is that it makes it increasingly hard to see and manuever at the same time. The main game is much like the original, in that you are to make it from beginning to the goal in the shortest time possible. I find my only redemption in the mini games, especially BOWLING. In this case, the touchscreen comes in handy when flinging Ai Ai and gang with as much speed and finesse as possible to clock the highest score. The downside to this is that the multiplayer mode doesn't include bowling, unless your opponent has a cart as well. If you are looking for an exact translation of the original, I'd save your $20 for a rainy day.
