Tamagotchi Connexion - Corner Shop: Reviews

I wasnt expecting to like this game much, but it is frightfully addictive...

This is, like many DS games, a collection of minigames.
The (rather non-existant) storyline involves you opening a load of shops (including a dry cleaners, a florist and a beauty salon) and expanding them with the help of a few recurring characters.
The money earned from these mini-games can be used to buy items (that are unlocked with each shop expansion) for your tamagotchi, but none of these items seem to actually do anything other than look different as far as i can see.

The graphics are bright and simple and would appeal to young children, though parts of the game would not be simple enough for a small child to understand without help.

The sound borders on nauseating. Especially in the music club (you will have tama-gotchi-tama-tama-gotchi ringing in your ears for hours after you stop playing).

Once you have unlocked all of the shops (if you get that far) there is not much left to play for, so this game doesnt have much of a reason to play after you have unlocked a few things.

All that said, this game is horribly addictive so it must be doing something right! Though it can be very repetitive and boring its not too bad of a game, but is better suited to younger players.
