Good Looking Game betrayed by his game-play

Mario Basket 3 on 3 is undoubtly a great masterpiece of 3D, forget Metroid Prime Hunter, even Mario Kart, this baby is way up !

But, -there is a but- the game play is 100% Stylus based : to pass the ball, to shoot or to do some special attacks, we are obliged to draw some glyphs (most of time, only lines...) on the touch screen. Oh yes, the D-Pas is also used, to direct the character and showing him the right way through the court... but the stylus can't be unused more than 1 or 2 second...

It's Screen-Protect Time !
Line drawing, huuu, INTENSIVE line drawing (eg : hard championship ...) will ruin your touch screen, a sure bet... be prepared Before start playing (most of us have touch screen protection, anyway), it's a safe investisment...

Uncommon way of playing !
Everybody has play Basket ball games... for ages, there were based on this gameplay : a button to run, a button to catch, a button to shoot/ dunk etc...
And now, nintendo asks us to forget everything we know about , and learn how to play basket, the "Myamoto way" ... Why not, after all, and, I must admit, the tutorial is one of the most usefull I ever seen, since the gameplay is absolutly new...

Why is nintendo making "Stylus-only" games like this one ?
The culprit is this slogan : "Touch Generation" ... Nintendo thinks there are people who are afraid by buttons... I'm afraid this Mario Basket is only one of the firsts game with a game-play "si d�routant" (so disturbing)

Conclusion
Looking awesome is not enough when the game-play isn't well designed.

but but but but but I may imagine people enjoying it, after hours of training. I give up before, shame on me !
