From what looks like the makers of 'Brain Training' comes the new 'English Training' where the object is to learn English. The game comes in 5 languages namely Spanish, German, Dutch, French and Italian, why the makers have left English off the list is beyond me as the game itself could be quite handy for anyone that struggles with spelling, etc. Because of this omission I didn't spend a lot of time playing the game but it would seem a handy tool for anyone that would like to either learn or improve their English.

The game mainly consists of your DS spouting words and phrases at you in English whilst you write the same word/phrase onto the touchpad. the handwriting recognition software seems a lot better than that in 'Brain Age/Training' with fewer mistakes being made when you write a 'K' for example. The grading system is similar again to the previous game where you are given stamps for your calendar and the ratings are based on letters now up to AAAA based on speed and accuracy.

Overall I'd say the game is a good tool for people wishing to learn English in a fun way but for anyone else I suspect that it would bore very fast as, graphically, there is nothing to it, and at 128mb (presumably due to the audio content) I can only recommend it as a tool to anyone that speaks one of the included languages and would like to learn English.
