I would personally give this game 9.5 our of 10. The game play is very good and the video animation is almost the same as on the PS2, only slightly less quality. Even that is on the video as a whole, not the graphics in the video themselves.

Game play: On the whole the game play is almost perfect. I especially liked how the player can swim. The DS has made full use of the split screen by showing the underwater area in the bottom screen and showing the surface area in the top screen. A very impressive feature. Unfortunately it feels as if the level has been split in half. The player can only move from left to right, with a little give for forward and back. Whereas this isn't a problem for games to do this, it eliminates the whole Tomb Raider feel. The whole tomb Raider series have been created in a £D environment, so on the environment aspect is a tad disappointing. Where the user uses the stylus to play the game is also a little bit awkward. The user needs to be able to move from using the buttons to the stylus very quickly. This can prove to be awkward. However I am impressed with how the user needs to use the stylus to shoot the enemies. It would be better if it flowed easier and better.

Video , Graphics and Sound: I was surprised to see the quality of the graphics. The in game graphics are pretty good. Environment is detailed fairy well. The people in the game have been drawn fairly well too. The quality in the videos is excellent. The quality is tad less than the PS2, but other than that, it's like I am looking at the original game. I also like how the user doesn't have to watch the video, even on first game play. I was more than satisfied with the video. I was even more surprised to hear voice over in the game. I expected text where the user has to click to read the conversation.

All in all a very good game. If I had to buy this from the store, I would be happy paying £30 for it. A really good game.
