Wario master of disguise is the fifth installment in the wario land series. Now onto the gameplay/
The player maneuvers Wario with either the directional-pad or the A, B, X and Y buttons. All other actions will be controlled by the touch-screen. To advance through levels, the player will be required to take advantage of various different forms of Wario.
Like its predecessor, Wario Land 4, Wario: Master of Disguise features health as opposed to invulnerability.
There are seven different forms that wario can use, i wont give too many details on these as i dont want to spoil anything. Its all these forms that are a drawback for the game. Not the fact that theres so many of them, but the fact that switching through them can be very awkward. the powers are activated via drawing symbols on the touch screen, and the function is so unbelievably wonky that it really should have been handled by a button press instead. It might not seem terrible early in the adventure, since the first two powers are simply a circle or a check mark. But as you open up more abilities, you enable different drawing icons, and unless your penmanship is damn near perfect you'll find the game gets easily confused with what you meant to scribble. There are times in the game you will need to switch from one form to the other very quickly e.g when fighting a boss, which is why the conrols are a problem.
When opening a treasure chest a mini-game appears on the touch screen, i.e, color in the block (the right color), trace the object, connect the dots and so on.
The platforming side of the game is also quite good and is definately this games strong point.
Wario: Master of Disguise is not a bad game. I've played far worse, and for all its flaws this one can sit comfortably on the positive side of the scoring scale. It's just that Master of Disguise is not particularly a very good Nintendo release
Graphics: The graphics are all right, but when compared to the new super mario bros they really aren't anything spectacular. 6.5
Sound: Its got nice background music that seems to fit in and even after playing for a while it doesn't irritate you which is always a plus. 7.5
gameplay: The level designs are very nice and what you would expect from nintendo, however, the buggy controls lower its score here. 7.5
Lasting appeal: The game does last a good while, however, there is no real replayability apart from going back and beating your scores. 6.5
