B-17 - Fortress In The Sky: Reviews

Game Score: 5/10
An interesting concept that works fine, just a little confusing to the average gamer.
Gameplay 6/10
Well first things first, the concept of controlling the people in a B-17 is a interesting idea, its not very easy to jump right into considering there isn't much help as to what you really are doing , so you learn fast as to where to shoot and how to drop bombs. The game is dull because of this , if there was an easier way to change guns on the plane to shoot from and better ways of telling where the enemy is comming from .. would be better.
Sound 6/10
The sounds of the aircraft , the guns , the general music in the game is bland, doesn't do much to get you into the game. The guns sound like every one WW2 gun fire sound, the planes sound just like typical WW2 aircraft sounds. I guess its the only way to make it realistic , but its done slightly poorly.
Graphics 5/10
The green , blue and black you see 90% of the time, Its dull and gritty like most of the game. There isn't much detail in the 3-d , SNES games have done better at 3-d then this. So its nothing great, but passes.
Control 2/10
The worst part of this game is the fact you have to change views way to much to be successful, it makes it harder but also loses appeal when you don't know if you destroy a enemy plane or not , and changing views is a chore.
Overall 4.5/10
After a few missions , you'll go play something else.
Those that keep playing are not rewarded with anything new.
