Fullmetal Alchemist - Dual Sympathy: Reviews

Game Score: 4/10

You hear that kids? Its time to rate the sub-par anime game time! Now keep this in mind: I am a fan of Full Metal Alchemist. However, I did regret purchasing this game quickly. Run 1 and 2 through the story mode was fun, and I liked the Alchemy touch screen charging mechanic. However, the story mode cops out big time when you play as other characters. Its just Edward/Al's story, minus the explanation as to why you are here, and you look like someone else. Also, why is Scar's special a spike barrage? He touches people and makes their brains explode, and yet his melee attacks are mediocre, and the aformentioned Alchemy attack doesnt fit with the character. The replayability of this game is low. Oh yay! I can do the same story but as Armstrong! YAY! no, pass.
If you can, borrow or download this game. playthrough 1 as Ed was awesome, but anything after that is boring. The mini-games, although amusing, will get old even faster. Unless you can buy the game for under $5, or have another means of procuring a copy, then don't even bother. Despite the really good graphics, it just isn't worth it. By the way, when I sold the game to get cash for a better one, it only netted me a measly $1.99. That was 3 months after the game came out, so you might actually find a cheap copy, that is, if stores even bother to sell these things used anymore.
