Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of the Ancient Arts: Reviews

Game Score: 5/10
Dungeon Explorer is another Diablo style game, with only a single interesting feature.
Story: 2/10
The story is nothing new at all, it's "there's a demon, kill it!"
You are told of a demon king sealed in a barrier, and the barrier is getting weaker. You begin by talking to everyone in town, which you've probably already down, just be trying to figure out what the heck is going on. So, after two hours of playing, nothing had to do with the demon king... nor were characters or anything developed. The only good thing going on with the story, is that they don't constantly force feed you crap. All the quests are retrieval/kill everything quests, but they don't feel like the grind quests that they are. (Giving it two points instead of one.)
Graphics: 5/10
The graphics are the average 3D game graphics, something may look like grass, or it could be an enemy; it's all pixelly. The Environmental graphics are good, but it may be confusing to navigate. The character models you can chose at the beginning all look like hobo's in different examples to give you an example. The reason why its getting 5 is that the environments and enemies look better that I had expected.
Sound: 4/10
The sound is the average grind-game music. The music is light, not hard to listen too... As a grind game, the music will eventually annoy the crap at you, as well as the times were the music just stops for no reason. For instance, after beating a boss, its completely silent... I thought the game froze the first time.
Gameplay 6/10
You begin by picking an archer, warrior or mage, and there are three classes of each with their own abilites. The Gameplay involves you running around in an area killing a certain area then returning to town. The combats always feels the same, and the areas can be difficult to navigate. The quests are all the same, and are vague on what to do... But, the combat can be fun, you can in a "school" and use certain skills depending on your "school" which can change the flow of combat greatly. If the fighting wasn't an endless grindfest, the gameplay could redeem this game.
Total: 5
Just another generic dungeon-crawler, but with a new style of combat, and the ability to chose from a wide range of characters is nice. If you just donated or have a lot of DPs for whatever reason, save them, there are a lot of great games you could get instead.
