Game Score: 10/10
After playing all the way through this game, I must say that I am very pleased with how the game was translated to be played on the DS. The story is amazing and the controls are simple and not confusing.
Gameplay: 9.5
the gameplay in itself isn't really difficult to understand and the story itself is pretty interesting in itself. Needing to turn the camera every so often to check the detail can be a minor annoyance. but that can be overlooked for the most part. Just be careful around the towns to not miss anything because of it.
Controls: 10
The controls are simply the buttons and not using the touch screen for anything more than the screen for the moving around.
Graphics: 8
The graphics could have been better, but I really don't consider Graphics in a DS game as all that important for this style of game.
The NDS version is a much cleaner game than the SNES translation patch version I was playing to begin with. The game seems to branch slightly at one point of the game, but to keep the spoilers out of this review I will let you find the branch point for yourself. The top screen is mainly used for the map or the status of your party during battle. So for this game I Rate it a 10 overall and highly recommend it for any fan of RPG's, Even more so for fans of the series.
