Brain Age - Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!: Reviews

Game Score: 7/10

Graphics: 10/10
The graphics are simple and clear, just like you would find on the actual DS game. No small print our blurriness. The graphics also smooth, no clear definitions of the pixels.
Sound: 9/10
They are fairly well with some variety. Nothing overly exciting, very clear and crisp.
Gameplay: 9/10
It's a good concept of activating your brain through minigames. The games are really easy. They don't unlock fast enough so you can only do so much minigames per day. In this way, it's a really quick filler for down times. It also gets very boring after a while.

TouchScreen: 6/10
For a DS, the touch screen is a big part of it. Unless you have a absolutely amazing touch pad for your mouse, drawing numbers and letters recognizable to the game is really challenging. The game interprets some numbers wrong, and to make it recognizable for the game requires precision "drawing" which also slows down your time.
Also, to play this game, you must hold your laptop sideways, or look at it sideways, as you would normally must do for an actual ds. This comes to a disadvantage, especially if your laptop is on the larger size or you have one of those desktop computers.

Microphone: 6/10
It registers what you say very poorly. My laptop comes with a built in microphone that works very well, but for some reason, the game will not register what I say.

Overall, its a fairly easy game that, as it says in the name, trains your brains in minutes, so its very short for each minigame. Good graphics, sound, and game play. It lacks just in the touch screen and microphone aspects, as well as its played sideways. Otherwise, its a great quick filler very now and then.
