Alex Kidd in Miracle World: Reviews

Alex Kidd in Miracle World was the next best thing to having a title like Mario on your SMS back in the day. While the main challenge stems from the tricky physics (and the lack of a life meter--you get hit once, and it's all over) the game has enough interest to keep a player amused for hours. And who can say no to a game that allows you to beat bosses at a game of Janken (rock-paper-scissors)? The graphics were excellent for its time... bright and colourful sprites made for an enjoyable gaming experience. The music is catchy, though a little repetitive (I think there was perhaps three or four different tunes that get cycled through the various types of levels). All in all, a game well worth trying out.
