Introduction
This is a turn based RPG game. This game is very good becuase there are multiple ways to play through the game, finish the game, and different endings.
Graphics (9/10)
The graphics are very good for a game on the SNES. The graphics are detailed enough so you and identify objects and places. The map system is very plain as to not confuse gamers with too much unnecessary pixels. Its very clear, crisp, and very well done.
Sound (8/10)
The sound is not really the best but Not much is too be expected for SNES but its not too grating. The could have been improved but it is not really all that bad. The background music when walking in either a town or on the map is, like in many games calm and easy. However, when in battle mode the music becomes fast and a little annoying.
Story (9/10)
The game starts off with 7 warriors. You choose which race you want to be (human warrior, dwarf warrior, elf healer, alien warrior, demon warrior, human healer, and tutjin which is a type of robot). King Lemele found and trained these 7 warriors and now sends them out to quest for 7 runes of power. The story changes in many ways after this based on which race you choose, how long you play the game for, your in game level, your relations with the other members of the other races, and how you play through certain scenarios.
Gameplay (9/10)
The gameplay is your standard turn based fighting system. You can choose either attack, defend, magic, item, status, and escape. Attack lets you make a physical attack with your equipped weapon. Defend lets you not attack but your defence and resistance increases. Magic lets you cast a spell based on the spells you have learned which is based on your level. Item lets you use an item in your inventory. Status lets you see your status. Escpae lets you cancel the fight but has a chance of not working. You start off with 1 fighter but you can recruit a partner later in the game (1 of the 6 other races).
Overall (9/10)
This game is very well done. The graphics and sound are among the best for SNES games. The battle system is a classic that is still implemented in games today. The best aspect of this game is the story because there are many different stories and endings. This game is very much worth playing.
